When I left my human services employment field after 45 years of caring for those who have social or psychological problems in society, I was pulled in two directions. Various groups wanted me to continue on in the 'reduction of human suffering' field but I had decided that what I had to offer at this point in my life was in my artwork. I no longer work to resolve other peoples' material, psychological, or educational needs - there are other people whose task that is now. What I am called to do now is to paint and write.
