Evening light on the river Duntz near Buckland Brewer£180
Part of my ongoing project of painting Westcountry rivers, the river Duntz is a minor tributary of the river Torridge in North Devon, within the UN designated North Devon biosphere reserve. I hope this painting reflects the peace of a late summer's evening on the bank of an English river.
Painted in spontaneous swift brush and palette knife work to express the change of the scene I found, with light receding fast and water on its way to the sea.... 20" x 16" in imperial measures, acrylic on canvas; framed (see picture).
