Among my favourite finds on country walks are the banks of small streams, surrounded by random natural tree cover. The fields around may be managed for grazing or crop growing, but the streams that flow in the folds of the hills are more or less allowed to do their own thing. Here, between Landkey and Bishops Tawton in North Devon a winding brook maes its way to the (relatively) mighty river Taw....
