1909 Embroidered Dress And Blouse
Spring is here and this wonderful style of jumper and blouse is perfectly suited for a season of lighthearted joy.
To create this costume I used a pattern from La Semaine de Suzette of 1909. I stayed faithful to the original suggested color scheme- turkey red with blue butterflies.
The blouse is batiste with fine twin needle tucks and Val lace gracing the collar and cuffs. It closes with 3 tiny snaps at the back.
The jumper is linen with a silk/linen hand embroidered bodice using the original design of butterflies and raspberries. It closes at the back with 2 hooks and eyes.
Treat your own darling Bleuette to costume of simple elegance, perfectly suited for a child whose spirit is as free as the creatures stitched upon her breast.
