Untitled (The Liar)$450
I am not sure what to call this piece and it is clearly a reflection on us as Americans voting for
the liar Donald Trump. I include an image of Mark Twain in the opposite corner peering to the
blue sky above the American Flag flying upside down symbolic of a society under siege. I
remember getting in trouble in grammar school for stating that America would one day take on
the mantle of the Nazis. I was suspended by the very right wing forces that now find themselves
comfortably aligned with the malignant forces of modern fascism. Clearly, the all seeing eye of
the dollar and so-called capitalism is more important than ideals and deep held beliefs. In this
society, the end DOES justify the means though all do not agree. The environment and many
members of this society remain at risk and survival is not assured.
