The Unruly Hair Portraits: Act I
The Unruly Hair Portraits: Act I

The Unruly Hair Portraits is a series started with this piece: I worked for 3 months on the drawing during the hot summer of 2015, taking a break from my studio space where my oil pastels were melting! In each drawing of the 'Unruly Hairs', I used a variety of water-based markers, gel pens as well as permanent ink markers and pens. I found myself questioning the validity of using children’s materials as a medium to create Fine Art as I am an elementary art teacher when not on summer holiday. This original drawing is 22 x 30 inches but is unavailable. Fine art prints size 11 x 15 inches are available for purchase.
