The Unruly Hair Portraits: Act II
The Unruly Hair Portraits: Act II

In my series of drawings, The Unruly Hair Portraits, I worked for months on each drawing, using a variety of water-based markers, gel pens as well as permanent ink markers and pens, questioning the validity of using children’s materials as a medium to create Fine Art. This piece, named Act II as it was the second piece of the series, was originally completed in Fall of 2015, but later revisited. The piece was finally finished by Fall of 2017. Over 6 months of time was spent on this elaborate drawing! The original work is 22 x 30 inches, and Fine art prints available are 11 x 15 inches.
