Rose pink cotton velveteen and striped silk taffeta are the main fabrics in this rendition of Au Grand Air (In The Open), a GL fashion of 1927 as pictured on page 116 of the Couturier/Odin catalogue, "son trousseau d'origine Gautier-Languereau".
This jaunty style begins with a pleated silk dress and embroidered silk collar. The belt is genuine leather with an antique buckle. Her velvet vest is edged with a gold twill weave cotton.
The cloche was still very much in style during this time, and this version is natural straw, lined in silk, and finished with a bias band of matching silk.
Her leather shoes tie with cotton laces and her matching pink socks are a fine ribbed cotton knit. This ensemble was sized to fit both vintage and reproduction Bleuettes.
Exquisite materials, unique design interpretations and masterful execution combine to make a creation from Bluebird Textiles a treasure to spoil the finest of dolls.
NOTE: doll is not included.
