Halloween 2025/ Bleuette's Bat Costume
As little folks come trooping
When darkness settles down
We light the yellow pumpkins

Too adorable to resist is the general verdict on a Bleuette Bat costume. I chose a chocolate brown cotton voile for sheerness. and lined it with black satin. The bat ears of the headpiece are created from brown Japanese silk and black silk duopion.
Her bat wings were created from black duopion silk lined also with black satin. It ties around her neck with cotton cord.
Tall thigh high cotton stockings finish this wonderful silhouette.
I've been looking at a lot of vintage paper mache jack o' lanterns. I believe that they were made in Germany, mostly. I created a very little one for Bleuette, maybe big enough for a few candy corns? :-)
