BLUEBIRD TEXTILES
Artist directory :: BLUEBIRD TEXTILES 1910 BATHING COSTUME FOR BLEUETTE
Imagine your own darling Bleuette in this fashionable yet sporty silhouette against a back drop of sun, sand and seagulls on the beach at Cannes.
I created this ensemble with linen and wool, lining each piece with fine cotton. You will love the contrast of the inky navy blue with the scarlet trim and "brass" colored tiny glass buttons. The one piece suit underneath closes with tiny hooks and eyes. The over-skirt wraps and ties at the front. Her charming bathing cap has elastic in the casing to accommodate large and small hairstyles.
Treat your own darling Bleuette to a. classic style appropriate for frolicking in the surf or quietly combing the beach for seashells.
NOTE: doll, socks and shoes are not included.

Costumes to dress Bleuette
About
My skills at dressing Bleuette are a culmination of textile endeavors that began at the tender age of five years old when my mother taught me how to embroider. I continued to explore fiber art through sewing, dyeing, weaving and felting until I was reintroduced to dolls and the amazing possibilities of dressing them.
Few dolls have captured my interest so thoroughly. Like so many other Bleuette devotees, she has shown me a way to express my interest in history, fine craftsmanship, haute couture and the wonderful frou-frou of little girls.
