Attentive waiting is a skill that all prophets must have. Prophets appear at the times when a culture is in transition, or when one culture dies and another is being formed to take its place-a 'crack' in time. The prophet must wait for the crack to appear so that he/she can hold it open by his/her artwork and thus  let the light beyond time shine into the epoch.
