A dead soldier returns to haunt the unfulfilled dreams of his parents(reworked)

This painting is about the loss of an adult child and the impact it has on the family that is left behind. It arises from experiences I have had working with families of a lost child. There is no way to console loved ones after such a loss. One can only help them move on - if they have the psychological and material resources to do so...many do not. The dead child continues to haunt their families through lost dreams, support, grandchildren, and love.
