All the permutations for looking at a cube (or three!)
All the permutations for looking at a cube (or three!)

This needs to be a large poster! Will pursue!

I worked it out:

If each photo is 6" x 4"

There is one column for each face of the cube: 6 x 6" = 36"

There is one row of single face views

Four rows of possible edge views (=2 faces)

Four rows of all possible corner views (= 3 faces)

1 + 4 + 4 rows = 9 rows = 9x4" = 36"

So the complete image is (6 x 6") x (9 x 4") = 3' square!

Something satisfying about that!
