Prototype Stage III Not so large - but then I realize that this is modular! 1+3 triangles = 1 larger triangle 1+3+5 triangles = even bigger! etc.
Prototypes 1-8 These are only 18" on a side, but triangles are modular, so the next size up is a yard, then 4'6" on a side, which starts to sound much more explorable.
Also notably restricted by being on a plane surface (i.e. my floor!) - it is clear that given full freedom from a flat plane these...
On this surface I can draw two parallel lines, one of which is perpendicular, moving towards and away from its partner. This explains the "Non-Euclidian" tag, huh?
. . . . . also spats!
Prototypes 8 & 9 Just as I was resolved to using dye instead of paint it starts to seem important that there is a front, colorful surface and a drab back surface.
540a Much snapping of fiber-glass, popping of grommets and tearing of canvas, but the principle is established! n.b. I thought the tension would be evenly distributed, but it appears it was sent to the poles.
