P.S.T. Hexagram
P.S.T. Hexagram

$26 - $206

An idea from the Pythagoras section using the P.S.T. colors (i.e. constrained by the available "Surfynl" color range!!).

A Star of David comprising:

One large triangle (9 small triangles) with primary colors at its vertices.

One large triangle (9 small triangles) with secondary colors at its vertices.

Thereby:

The six-points of the star are alternating primary and secondary colors.

The hexagon in the body of the star is the six tertiary colors.

I was imagining to find large triangles (made up of four smaller triangles with a primary or secondary color at the apex) - and this is how I would paint it if I was mixing paint. However in this instance I see chevrons (like fox-faces) made up of four small triangles each. The interesting thing is that I see six chevrons:

A Green:Yellow Chevron

An Orange:Red Chevron

A Purple:Blue Chevron

but then I look again and I see:

A Yellow:Orange Chevron

A Red:Purple Chevron

A Blue:Green Chevron

It's all a dance!

Here are some of the ideas that I have been exploring.
