Robe Habillée 1907/08

Starting with the pattern from an issue of late 1907 La Semaine de Suzette, I designed a dress to spoil the finest of Bleuettes. Luxurious high-end fabrics and antique lace were used to re-create a classic silhouette reminiscent of an A.Marque doll.  You will love the elements of gathered silk trim and velvet ribbon that make this ensemble an homage to the Parisian couture fashion house of Jeanne Margaine-LaCroix .

The dainty blouse is cotton dimity of antique white, trimmed with antique French Val lace. The back of the blouse closes with two mother-of-pearl buttons.
The over-dress is of a radiant iridescent silk duoppion. The bottom hem is trimmed with narrow black velvet ribbon, and the belt closes with a fabulous antique glass button of cobalt blue.
The lovely bonnet is of Swiss Paglina , edged with a shiny  black vintage braid. I trimmed it with silk chenille daisies and silk flowers of the dress fabric. Silk ribbon secures it under her pretty chin.

This ensemble fits both vintage and reproduction Bleuettes. Doll, socks and shoes are not included.
