P.S.T. Star

P.S.T. Star
2 large triangles (= 9 small triangles);

One with Primary Colors at the vertices

One with Secondary Colors at the vertices

Forming a star of alternating Primary and Secondary Colored points.

Each point of the star is the apex of a medium triangle (= 4 triangles) over whose colors it has influence.

Therefore in theory each of the six small triangles making up the central hexagon is under the influence of three points of the star. This would be interesting to do as a color mixing exercise. In practice the color families seem to be arranged more into "chevrons" (fox faces) than triangles - each color pair (the diamonds!!) being part of two chevrons, one to the right and one to the left.

Which is all well and good but then I started wondering about scissors!!

The above is a first go at "playing" and does not follow any mathematical system.

The colors here are paractically based on Birdwell's fabric swatches rather than any scientific system! http://www.pguestprojects.com/p-s-t-trunks

Hey, I made a Christmas card! I'll see if I can make that available as a download!

Look how the pairs of choce sequences are aligned!

Ba Gua - Rectangle
 . . . .watch for updates!

This seems to work well as it distinguishes four "cardinal" points from four "modulations":
