One step away from "Brightness/Activity", but by finding a "Horizon" it is possible to proceed towards "Rest" (or other options).
N.B. - the movement sequence is the same as with K'un but the color base is different - and orange, I find out, is not as assertive as it looks!
This is my first "second time" painting - and possibly the first one that I am really pleased with (so far it's been more about discovery, choices and surprises but now I feel like I know what I'm doing! The previous version (painted as an octagon) can be found on the blog somewhere. Octagons are cool, but there's such a thin as too many choices!
The next thing to work on is painting technique! There is such a mixture of blends and contrasts in these "middle" paintings that it is difficult to know when to be assertive!
