GL Printania 1923

This beautifully chic, jaunty style was most likely named "Printania" after the Hotel Printania that opened up in Paris around the same time. As pictured on page 87 of the Couturier/Odin catalogue, "son trousseau d'origine Gautier-Languereau", I have captured this style with vintage and current textiles using couture sewing techniques.

This one-piece dress has the clever look of various layers. I used a lustrous linen in inky blue indigo for the main part of this ensemble. The contrasting cotton is a reproduction print of delicate rose buds. Vintage grosgrain forms the tie,  and a genuine leather belt, top-stitched and with antique brass buckle, is a beautiful style element of this piece. The back cl;owes with an antique mother-of-pearl button.

Her faaaaabulous cloche is natural straw sewn onto a buckram base. It is lined in silk taffeta and trimmed with matching dress fabric.

Ensemble sized to fit both reproduction and vintage Bleuettes.

Doll , socks and shoes are not included .

Exquisite materials, unique design interpretations  and  masterful execution combine to make a creation from Bluebird Textiles  a treasure to spoil the finest of dolls.
