Robe de Taffetas Brodée 1921 Splendid silk taffeta, edged with silk organza, is such an elegant surprise for this dainty gingham check! This ensemble is delightful in that it combines the luxury of silk with the provincial red and white check.
The silk dress has an embroidered daisy of silk ribbon and embroidered leaves with silk floss. The edges are trimmed with organza in contrasting smoky gray. I layered it to partially reveal the gingham underneath.
Her boater style hat is natural straw, and formed in the millinery fashion using a buckram base. I French lined it with silk and added a grosgrain head band. It is trimmed with silk daisies, velvet leaves, silk rosettes, and a wide scarlet silk ribbon.
This ensemble fits both vintage and reproduction Bleuettes. Doll, socks and shoes are not included.
