I used a" Liberty of London" printed cotton lawn and embellished the edges with scallops . The tiny buttons on her shoulders open on one side for closure. Silk satin ribbons adorn the sides. An important element of this look is the underdress- a pattern from the same year, sewn from Swiss batiste in a soft buttery yellow. Antique mother-of-pearl buttons close at the back.
